INFANT FRONT CARRY

(newborn and up)

Carry a newborn baby skin-to-skin by using a large button-style shirt over top of the carrier.  In winter carry your infant on your front with a large winter jacket around you both (zippered up to baby's neck).  Very comfy indeed.

ONE Tie the Weepee to your waist - body piece is in front of you (inside body facing out as shown). Pick up your baby and hold her with her head on your shoulder.

TWO Pull the carrier up over your baby's body. Place both shoulder straps neatly over your shoulders and gently lower your baby into the carrier body. Move your right hand outside of the carrier and use it to hold baby.

THREE Reach behind you with your left hand and grab the right shoulder strap. Bring it to the front. Now switch hands (left hand is still keeping strap pulled tightly) use left hand to hold baby and right to grab remaining shoulder strap, bringing it to the front.

FOUR Now make a slip knot in front of you.

FIVE Pull on the tail of the slip knot to snug baby's body securely to yours (tuck the extra fabric into the pocket). The shoulder straps are designed to keep baby's body from shifting left or right. Check periodically to make sure the straps don't ride up near baby's neck.

It is possible (and comfortable) to breastfeed with baby in the weepee. Simply loosen the straps, position baby at the breast, and then tighten the straps again so that their nect is supported.
